Writing about your emotions can help produce clarity and calm in many aspects of your life including your relationships. The simple act of penning down your deepest thoughts about your family and friends, your career, your dreams for the future — anything allow you to refocus on those important issues in your life. It may help you feel more excited or optimistic about them. It may reignite your enthusiasm and passion by way of a shift in perspective allowing you to focus on the good, elevate your mood and bring you new creative solutions. Going over these writings later can help you correct your ‘internal dialogue’ or self-talk. It’s not by denial or avoidance, it’s by acceptance and responsibility, we move forward in life.
